Commissions and Contracting Administrator ( 6 month contract)

HUB Financial Inc., Canada’s largest Life Insurance Managing General Agency is seeking a Commissions and Contracting Administrator for 6 months working out of our Woodbridge, ON office This position tracks, reconciles and monitors all commission payment made to brokers by respective carriers. The position is integral in ensuring broker commissions are accurate and paid on time. Additionally, this position coordinates broker repayments in the event of bad debt. The role alsoensures the successful completion of broker contracting packages by obtaining all necessary documentation from our brokers and submitting completed contracting packages to the carriers.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Contracting Admin)

  • Complete system updates such as address banking information changes and license and E&O update

  • Process carrier ratified contracts, update WS and forward completed contract to broker..

  • Complete various contracting follow ups in a timely manner.

  • Prepare documentation for broker contracting related to the Hub Helps contracting process.

  • Handle emails sent by brokers, carriers and regional offices to contracting mailbox.

  • And other duties as assigned from time to time.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Commissions Admin)

  • Responsible for processing first year commission and overrides and ensure they are paid accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for investigating and resolving compensation issues for HUB and our brokers.

  • Assist in handling commission inquiries received from brokers, carriers, and other HUB departments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Up to one year’s related experience

  • Completion of high school diploma

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in typing and with computer applications, including MS suite

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively

  • Background in broker contracting and compliance regulations would be an asset

  • Good computer skills is a must

  • Good communication skills

  • Industry related experience would be an asset
