Hub International Technical Assistant (Insurance) in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Position Overview:

Totten is looking for a professional individual to provide exceptional operations support in our Winnipeg office reporting to the Team Leader, Operations. The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail and data entry skills. This is an excellent role to work in a fast-paced service environment and start your insurance career! We offer an excellent opportunity to work for one of Canada’s Leading MGA’s and to become part of a dynamic and knowledgeable team. This is an ideal role for an individual enrolled in a Post-Secondary school co-op program.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Answering the phones

  • Order and inventory of office supplies

  • Manage Accounts Receivable list

  • Manage office mail and office email inbox in a timely manner

  • Preparation of documentation: New/Renewal/Endorsements /Registered Letters, Certificates of Insurance, etc.

  • Triage – reviewing and assigning broker submissions to the appropriate Underwriting Department

  • Other assistance as required

Qualifications:

  • Prior administrative or office support role an asset

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel required

  • Knowledge of industry software an asset (TAM, Policy Works)

  • Effective communication and customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team structure

  • Ability to self-manage and meet static time lines
