Senior Solutions Architect – NetSuite Developer

The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for managing the transformation of a complex NetSuite instance into an Enterprise platform. As part of this program, we will be converting multiple systems and products into the Enterprise NetSuite platform. As a Solutions Architect, this individual will be working with executive leadership and developers, providing the bridge between stakeholders and technical resources.

Responsibilities:

Project Implementation

  • Understand the art of possibilities in Netsuite to design and architect business solutions

  • Provide leadership and help to scope, gauge, and deliver an Enterprise NetSuite program

  • Work with project team to assess client needs, develop solutions and implement them to client satisfaction

  • Facilitate and optimize business processes and infrastructure solutions

  • Identify and validate in and out of scope requirements and translate into NetSuite solutioning

  • Analyze and architect solutions for business requirements which may include complex configurations and/or technical components

  • Define detailed and functional requirements for automations and integrations to NetSuite

  • Work with technical teams to design and test automations and integrations

  • Perform quality reviews of deliverables developed by other team members

  • Collaborate with Brand Product Managers to facilitate on time project delivery

  • Create and maintain architecture documents associated to project plans, solution approaches, and present functional and technical requirements along with other specifications to Business Key Stakeholders

  • Act as a NetSuite subject matter expert on system functionality and code-level detail

  • Proactively research new NetSuite features and capabilities and work those new capabilities into solution proposals

Support Functions

  • Manage architecture, strategy and enterprise platform

  • Manage satisfaction and communication with TechOps Stakeholders

  • Work with development team to research and resolve problems with high urgency

  • Responsible for providing root cause analysis as applicable in a timely manner

  • Develop enhancements/upgrades to create process efficiencies, generate cost savings and strengthen internal controls

  • People Management: lead a team of developers and provide input and guidance into the staffing process.

  • Develop and maintain documentation including specifications through change controls, procedures, and other relevant information in accordance with defined standards

  • Oversee software configuration and coding changes and coordinate the production move

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in understanding the design and functionality of Netsuite modules as well as considerations that impact the scalability, extensibility, and robustness of a Netsuite implementation

  • Proficiency in SuiteScript, JavaScript and SQL

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a major in either Information Technology, Software Development, Computer Science, or related technology program

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience with NetSuite

  • NetSuite certifications preferred

  • Knowledge of insurance business systems and processes an asset
