Hub International Product and Project Coordinator, Employee Benefits & Retirement in Winnipeg, Manitoba

HUB International’s Employee Benefits & Retirement team continues to grow and created a dynamic role for a strong Product & Project Coordinator role who will help organize and execute major initiatives (inside sales and education) for EB&R on a National scale working closely with the senior EB&R leadership teams and a dedicated Product Manager.

HUB International is a leading agency within the insurance brokerage industry and continues to grow organically and from mergers and acquisitions, which results in a need to develop process improvements, system upgrades and align policies and procedures all of which need to be effectively managed, communicated and executed to achieve the desired outcomes.

This role can be based in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa , Halifax or Calgary and reports to the President, Employee Benefits & Retirement in Ontario with a dotted line to the Chief Innovation Officer, Employee Benefits & Retirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, timelines and outcome measures for national EB&R initiatives working closely initiative sponsor(s), working groups, regional and shared service departments

  • Aim to become an ambassador of the project(s) by understanding and becoming knowledgeable of the detailed workflows

  • Drive engagement and momentum of projects including identification and escalation of risks to completion

  • Measurement of project trajectory and ultimately the outcomes related to the initiative

  • Own related communications including to working group(s), project sponsor(s) and leadership level stakeholders (including C-level)

  • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with EB&R leads in Canada and key stakeholders in Technology, Operations, Data Management, Legal and other areas

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University Degree in Business Administration or Technology, MBA

  • 5+ years of experience within a corporate environment; ideally in a project management or product management within Employee Benefits & Retirement

  • Exposure and background with Employee Benefits and Retirement products and services; ideally project management experience related to project oversight and delivery

  • Prior sales and training/education background desired

  • Exposure to executive level stakeholders including prior project sponsor relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed plans, scoping / requirements documents and timelines and drive to execution targets

  • Experience with diverse / cross functional teams

  • PMP Designation

  • Lean Six Sigma training an asset

  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;

  • Be an agent of change, able to effectively negotiate in demanding situations to reach consensus while respecting relationships.

  • Strong time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to exercise initiative and follow up skills

  • Some travel across Canada required (up to 25%)
