Vice President, Advanced Markets – Hybrid role based (anywhere in Canada)

We are seeking a life insurance expert with a robust understanding of tax, corporate structures, trusts and how life insurance integrates with each and possesses the drive to be the face of HUB’s Advanced Case and Estate Solutions (ACES) division.As the next leader of our ACES division, you will join a team of collaborative and entrepreneurial professionals across the country at an industry leading MGA that has grown consistently by delivering excellence to independent advisors and helping them grow their businesses.

HUB Financial, Canada’s leading Life Insurance Managing General Agency is on the hunt for an individual that will drive the proactive ways HUB educates and develops independent advisors in the high-net-worth space. As the most senior member of this team, this person will also be responsible for consultative case work, technical expertise, and coaching advisors on client opportunities in advanced markets. The Advanced Case and Estate Solutions Team was created to add value to advisors already working in this market as well as developing an advisors’ skills and abilities as they move up market. This position is the cornerstone of that division.

What we need you to deliver:

  • Spearhead the growth and development of our National Advanced Case & Estate Solutions division

  • Further build and enhance the value proposition for this National division

  • Support advisor pre-sale inquiries in the advanced case insurance market

  • Bring forward and drive recommendations from various products and carriers based on unique high-net-worth client situations

  • Provide thorough reviews of active cases with advisors and present the best possible solution using illustrations, comparisons, and custom marketing presentations

  • Deliver engaging presentations (in person and virtually) on Advanced Case concepts at HUB and Industry events.

  • Maintain and develop relationships with advanced market advisors and our carrier partners

  • Participate in the recruitment cycle of advisors as HUB partners with new advisors in the corporate and high-net-worth market

  • Provide coaching and training to advisors on prospecting effectively in the corporate and high net worth market

  • Maintain the integrity and reputation of HUB Financial advisors when it comes to product recommendations

  • Everything else related to supporting this division on a national basis

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • 10 + years of related job experience

  • CPA, LLB, CFP or CLU designation

  • A positive attitude, the constant desire to help others, curiosity, and the ability to deliver consistent performance

  • Are a great communicator, both in writing and ‘in person’

  • You are organized, a great presenter, articulate and have a strong attention to detail

  • Really strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills (‘this is super important’)

  • Robust problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively

  • Demonstrated strong teamwork skills and experience collaborating with others.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of competition and regulatory issues and trends within the industry.
