The Human Resources Leader will coordinate human resources activities and compliance for our Mid-America region. The ideal candidate will have the energy and passion to provide outstanding positive Human Resources leadership and build solid working relationships with employees at all levels, including senior leadership, across several locations. The Human Resources Leader will provide day-to-day tactical and strategic guidance on HR initiatives, practices, policies and procedures and remain committed to strengthening and sustaining our company culture and values by keeping them at the forefront of everything we do. The HR Leader will also be instrumental in coordinating cultural and engagement initiatives to bring-together employees from broad geographic territories.
Work as a leader, trusted advisor and business partner to regional sales and operations leadership providing consultative HR services, consistent communication, and timely follow-through on commitments to leadership
Responsible for coordinating with the HR Generalist, Recruiter and senior leadership to execute talent acquisition strategies for the 300-person territory
Develop and maintain an effective level of understanding of the Company, its culture and its human resources needs
Maintain concise, organized employee files and documentation
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive employee initiatives in company culture, engagement, recruiting, and employee relations
Problem-solve using logic, reasoning, collaboration and solid HR skills to resolve difficult employee situations
Make administrative and procedural decisions and demonstrate judgment on sensitive, confidential matters
Foster a culture of teamwork and respect through effective coaching and implementation of Company standards and guidelines
Work with managers and employees to address and resolve human resources matters through day-to-day guidance on performance management (coaching, counseling, development and disciplinary actions)
Ensure that all human resources practices are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, company standards and values
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions (e.g. OSHA, EEO, FLSA, etc.) and maintaining compliance with all state, federal and labor laws
Coordinate and deliver management training in interviewing, hiring and selection, positive team member relations, handling terminations and harassment issues
Coordinate with the Recruiter to maintain and increase pipeline of candidates by sources, to include job postings, recruiting databases, internet research, and specialized sourcing methods
Develop professional relationships with industry groups, local universities and civic organizations for candidate sourcing, internship partnership, and diversity outreach
Plan, attend, and monitor effectiveness of multiple quarterly outreach events that support the achievement of HUB’s recruiting goals
Assist with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse work force for the organization
Deliver regularly occurring new hire onboarding and benefits presentations to new employees
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with regional operations to develop solutions, programs and policies to meet and improve business outcomes
Bachelors degree preferred
5-7 years of experience in a Human Resources/Operations role
Extensive full cycle recruiting experience with a track record of aggressive proactive sourcing and proven results
Must be willing to travel up to 20%
SHRM or HRCI designation preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP)
In-depth knowledge of applicable state and federal employment law
Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize
Significant experience in supporting multiple locations with effective skills in recruiting, employee relations, organization development, performance management, talent assessment, workforce planning, leadership development and communications
Demonstrated project management skills and capable of developing effective employee relations
Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with HRIS & Talent Management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
