The Talent & Organizational Development (OD) Program Manager is part of the Talent & OD team that is accountable for crafting people processes to maximize the employee and leadership experience at HUB International. As a Talent & OD Program Manager, you will have ownership for designing, delivering, and continuously improving specific talent initiatives (which may include career development, employee engagement, leadership development, succession, workforce planning), while ensuring they fit into HUB’s broader talent strategy. Working with our HR Field partners across Hub – ensure we create talent solutions that are scalable and flexible for our field offices. Provide Talent Development & Employee Experience thought leadership for our field HR organization. As a member of the Talent &OD Team, you will design and lead internal OD consulting engagements with leadership teams, facilitate leadership and business sessions, and will lead and/or play a key role in company-wide talent and organizational development initiatives. This role also leads and facilitates various leadership and employee sessions across HUB Regions. This position may be located anywhere in Canada.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Co-create our talent strategy and talent roadmap for HUB
Research and design employee-centric people processes that span across the employee life cycle
In partnership with our field HR organization – deliver, measure, and continuously improve people processes
Provide talent development thought leadership for various talent segments (employees, leaders, senior executives)
Bring an inclusion and diversity lens to all people practice development
Design relevant and meaningful program measures that measure the impact of your talent initiatives
As part of a broader internal faculty cadre – facilitate various leadership and employee development sessions across the company
Role model positive change – help others navigate transition and organizational change
Organizational development consulting
Participate or lead internal leadership consulting engagements at Hub – from contracting to designing to facilitating leadership sessions to working with the client on a sustainability plan
Participate or lead strategic organizational development initiatives – may include initial assessment work, creating OD strategies, implementing OD strategies, and monitoring results
Build the leadership effectiveness and change capability of our internal clients
Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR, talent, or organizational development experience
Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership while maintaining excellent customer service
Blend of strategic thinking and practical execution
Proficient in designing and using people analytics – be able to harness and use data to make informed decisions
Understands the dynamics of a matrix organization
Good organizational savvy, resilient
Ability to simultaneously and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
Exemplary project management and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group and manage ambiguous situations
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite
Strong negotiation and influence skills
Passion for coaching and developing talent
Willingness to travel – up to 20%
Four-year college degree required – graduate work or degree in organizational development, HR, or related field preferred
Demonstrated experience designing and owning talent processes a plus
Experience as an HR Business Partner or on an organizational development team a plus
Exposure to delivering components of Diversity & Inclusion efforts a plus
Experience with Workday or other cloud based HRIS systems
