Personal Insurance Manager, Private Client GroupToronto, ON

About The Role

HUB continues to grow and is seeking a dynamic Leader to join our Personal Insurance team based in Toronto, Ontario, to help lead a practice in providing expert personal insurance portfolio management and service excellence to Private Client Group (PCG) High Net Worth clients. We are looking for a strong, detailed oriented individual to develop workflow strategies, retention and improving the customer experience. This is a great leadership opportunity!

What You’ll Do

The objective is to mentor and coach our support team within our Private Client Group, improving our operational effectiveness while supporting a sales culture and customer retention. This position reports to the Vice President, Private Client Group and is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Talent Management including hiring, resource management, role clarity, performance development and management planning

  • Coaching and mentoring our support team in Private Client including developing stretch performance plans for succession planning and employee retention

  • Review management reporting and team production and provide solutions in areas of opportunity.

  • Coach the team to ensure that all high net worth clients insurance needs are achieved supported with a boutique service model

  • Ensure our support team is trained and follows our HUB way workflows to effectively support account and portfolio managers as well as our clients

  • Represent HUB Ontario at industry & client events

  • Increase overall effectiveness of best practices within the PCG department

  • Acting as a strong HUB Private Client Management ambassador at relevant events, some may occur during the evenings and occasionally weekends

  • Help conduct effective PCG Team meetings and providing updates on goals and targets and any new initiatives

  • Collaborates closely with leadership colleagues and other parts of HUB to support cross-sell initiatives

  • Works very closely with the VP & SVP on strategy, workforce planning and participates in various leadership initiatives as required

What You’ll Need for Success

  • University Degree or College Degree in Business or equivalent work experience

  • Previous experience in people leadership with a focus on creating a strong team culture

  • Prior experience with High Net Worth clients in financial servicers and/or insurance

  • Strong working knowledge of personal insurance products for High Net Worth clients

  • Strong consultative and client focused approach

  • Team player and ability to collaborate with the Personal Insurance Leadership Team and insurance company partners

  • Strong business acumen

  • Positive track record of effective client management

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • RIBO Licensed preferred

  • EPIC experience and knowledge preferred

  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License for client visits and meetings
