About The Role

HUB International’s Personal Insurance department continues to grow, and we are currently looking for a strong, hands-on Account Manager. This is an ideal role for someone who brings a strong Personal Insurance Broker background, a customer-focused approach that supports growth and retention, and the ability to deliver excellent client service.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a book of business by servicing all aspects of your client’s personal insurance policies in a timely manner

  • Act as a front-line underwriter by assessing risk and ensuring appropriate coverages have been provided to clients.

  • Ensure new business and retention targets are met, by way of re-marketing, cross-selling, and up-selling; ensure the client is made aware of other insurance and financial products available

  • Complete assigned tasks and requests before submission to underwriting and carrier partners

  • Resolve client concerns and issues in a professional manner

What You’ll Need for Success

  • RIBO License (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) in good standing required; other provincial licenses are an asset

  • Typically, more than 3 years of industry and/or personal lines experience – preferably with broad market portal experience (Aviva, Intact, etc.)

  • Experience servicing a book of business and/or call rotation environment preferred

  • Ability to maintain top-notch prioritization and organizational skills in a fast-paced while keeping an exceptional client experience a priority

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a hybrid environment

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer focused

  • Experience working with Broker Management Systems; knowledge of Applied Broker Management Systems (EPIC, TAM, ARS, etc.) is preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Pursuit or completion of Professional insurance designation (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.) is an asset
