Hub International Data Entry Clerk in Toronto, Ontario

Position Overview:

Totten is looking for a strong Data Entry Clerk to provide exceptional operations support in our Toronto office. The position requires the individual to have strong attention to detail and data entry skills with focus on various bordereaux reporting. This is a 6 month contract position. This is an excellent role to work in a fast-paced service environment reporting to the Director, Compliance and Strategic Initiatives.

Main Role Responsibilities:

Bordereaux Reporting:

  • Accountable for the completion of several monthly domestic market bordereaux

  • Assist with handling discrepancies for subscribing companies to contribute to rectifying company payments and remittance

  • Adhere to reporting deadlines and updating monthly reporting trackers to ensure timely issuance to all subscribers

Lineage/Policy Works Uploads and Errors:

  • Support the Compliance and Underwriting Operations team with uploading batches from Policy Works into Lloyd’s Lineage platform, including (but not limited to) uploading batches, updating error logs, and coordinating corrections with underwriting team

  • Learn and understand Policy Work reporting functions to find efficiencies in bulk uploads in order to decrease the number of errors holding up batches from successful upload

  • Follow up with underwriters for corrections to errors preventing successful batch uploads

  • Manually input entries into Lineage based on contract requirements

  • Investigating and Correcting Lloyds analysis codes in PW as required

Data Analysis and Business Strategy:

  • Coordinate internal audits in support of the Director of Compliance to ensure underwriting teams adhere to company and contract guidelines, proper file management, and rating expectations. Draft recommendations and action plans to correct and mitigate compliance related issues

  • Work with the Business Analyst to create and amend report templates including (but not limited to) to document formatting, creating and testing macros, and inputting formulas

  • Assist with the completion of reports as required for Lloyds of London brokers/syndicates and domestic markets

Other Responsibilities:

  • Validate accuracy of data and meet monthly deadlines

  • Respond to questions around data, policies as it pertains to reporting

  • Triage questions to internal contacts as required

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of data entry/analysis experience in a support role or equivalent

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Mathematical Science etc.

  • Completion of Insurance Program (CIP or equivalent) an asset

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • Experience with MS Access an asset

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team structure
