Hub International Commercial Lines Account Associate, Entertainment & Sports in Toronto, Ontario

HUB International Entertainment, Film & Sports Practice in Toronto continues to grow and is currently looking for a strong, hands on Commercial Account Associate to support our busy commercial practice reporting to the Commercial Lines Account Manager. This is an ideal role for a self-starter with strong client management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced and high-volume environment. The Account Associate have a detailed knowledge of a number of HUB’s commercial product portfolio and can target policies to their clients to supply the most appropriate product.

This role involves interaction with diverse stakeholders including customers, finance, and Account Managers. This is a great role for exposure to more unique and complex insurance lines policies and assigned to specific accounts. Join an entrepreneurial team!

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating of renewals, building out renewal presentations for submissions

  • Day to Day lead service support with identified larger Entertainment and Sports accounts

  • Supporting unresolved outstanding client premiums

  • Accountable for policy reviews for assigned accounts and as backup to other accounts when required

  • Working in a team structure supporting Account Managers to retain and grow existing portfolios and cross/upselling of commercial auto, property, liability and/or professional liabilities policies to existing clients.

  • Supporting Account team by researching and analyzing client coverage trends and identifying areas of risk and opportunities along with solutions.

  • Providing suggestions for continuous improvements in workflows and procedures for sales and service.

  • Assisting the Account Manager with marketing and promotion initiatives

  • Reviewing and processing renewals, endorsements and midterm changes; prepares renewal binders/proposals as required

  • Reviewing Policy Wordings and Endorsements to ensure accuracy in issuance

  • Identifying and addressing client needs regarding coverage and policies and follows up to ensure client satisfaction

  • Marketing and negotiating all new and renewal accounts as required

  • Initiating claims process, including reporting to relevant insurer

  • Managing accounts receivables

  • Demonstrating methods, processes and procedures and may verify work of and/or mentor more junior colleagues, or contractors

  • Other duties as assigned with changing needs of the practice

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 3-years of experience in Insurance (broker, underwriting or claims)

  • Active RIBO License

  • Prior insurance account management experience an asset

  • Experience on Epic broker management system desired

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • CIP/CAIB/CRM Designation required or in progress

  • Strong organizational, time and client management skills

  • Effective communication skills: verbal and written

  • Strong initiative, responsive and solutions oriented

  • Knowledge of diverse insurance policies and emerging insurance trends

  • Positive service attitude
