Typical functions include but are not limited to: gathering and preparing monthly or quarterly claim reporting, budgeting, calculating IBNR, preparing spreadsheets to display and communicate self-funded and fully-insured pre and final renewal projections, reviewing/analyzing fully-insured renewal calculations, and calculating benefit plan designs changes.
The FC is responsible for supporting clients and the client teams that support HUB clients. The FC is to use technical expertise to build spreadsheets and adjust current templates for the EBFC department to enhance the consulting capabilities of the EB teams – Producers and Account Executives.
Timelines/Business Flow (60%)
Prepare renewal projections, IBNR reporting, claim reporting
Communicate with the Account Executive and Producer team regarding open projects and expected turnaround times.
Maintain access to carrier portals for report gathering to produce reporting
Internal and External Client Service and Communication (15%)
Maintaining clear communication in team meetings with Account Executive and Producers
Participate in sales presentations to describe the value of the FC role, as necessary
Manage Project Request
Assisting with special projects as needed (25%)
Review, assess, and help negotiate fully insured client renewals
Use technical skills as needed to prepare excel templates and reporting for team.
Excellent analytic skills – predictive analytics, healthcare underwriting
Thrives by building relationships with whom he/she works.
Excellent computer skills – is an expert in, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint and able to learn new systems and programs, such as Benefitpoint, carrier reporting systems.
Highly organized & accurate

Creates or modifies processes/procedures to simplify tasks.
Knowledge/Experience Required :
BA degree in Math or Finance or technical degree preferred
Working knowledge of employee benefit plans, understanding HMOs, PPOs, HSAs as well as Self-Funded, Fully-Insured and Minimum Premium funding
Stop Loss Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Strong math, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Demonstrates multi-tasking ability
Must be detail-oriented, well-organized and have the ability to manage a high volume workload with competing demands
Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience
Required Travel: Up to 25%
Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
