About Specialty Program Group: Specialty Program Group (SPG) is the wholesale & MGA division of HUB International (7 th Largest Global Broker). SPG acts in a holding company capacity acquiring best in class underwriting businesses to operate independently under discrete brands (portfolio companies). The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) supports portfolio companies in growth and revenue enhancing initiatives.

Sales & Marketing Coordinator (S&MC) plays a vital role in the growth and development of our sales culture. The S&MC reports to the Chief Sales Officer, and assists Management and Producer/Underwriters to achieve their goals. The S&MC also works closely with our corporate headquarters in Chicago to deliver ongoing initiatives to all SPG portfolio companies, and is an indirect report to the Corporate Sales Enablement, Assistant Vice President.

Deemed as the SPG Product Liaison, S&MCs promote HUB/SPG’s creative & administrative marketing solutions to help generate new business and client retention. They are responsible for educating both Clients and Producer/Underwriters on the tools and resources that HUB/SPG has to offer, while finding innovative ways to showcase the portfolio company’s unique capabilities.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Sales Enablement

  • Interface directly with Portfolio Company Managers, Producer/Underwriters, Prospects, and Clients to present SPG value adds and benefits in sales meeting and new business pitch environments

  • Assist with development of lead lists, RFPs, capabilities presentations, benchmarking reports, premium volume stats, data analysis, and sell sheets

  • Ability to develop and execute vertically driven sales campaigns based on portfolio company needs

Technology Tools and Resources

  • Main point of contact for all Producer/Underwriter and Client facing tools & resources

  • Present in-person and webinar hosted training sessions for individual Producers/Underwriters and office locations

  • Main point of contact for HUB intranet system assisting with navigation and posting SPG content

  • Work directly with third party vendors and receive regular corporate training

  • Work with CSO to onboard new Producers/Underwriters and acquired locations to promote their joining HUB/SPG

Marketing

  • Work with corporate Marketing & Communications in the creation of and execution of advertisements, microsites, email blasts, and enhancement of Producer/Underwriter social media presence

  • Work with Business Development Team in the development and execution of Producer/Underwriter call campaigns

  • Maintain the Specialty Program Group website via WordPress

  • Maintain Specialty Program Group’s social media platforms & assist portfolio companieswith thought leadership strategies

  • Plan and execute all steps of SPG participation tradeshows and conferences

Sales Support & Administration

  • Administrator for all tools & resources including activation of new accounts, reporting, data mining/reconciliation, troubleshooting, and tracking utilization

  • Responsible for monthly and annual sales reports and auditing integrity of data

  • General problem solver and navigator for employees looking for HUB/SPG resources

Travel:

Travel is dependent on the needs and geographic spread of SPG’s portfolio companies. On average, 25% domestic travel to SPG offices and 2-3 trips to Chicago (Corporate) per year. On rare occasions the SRM may be asked to cross border in support of an initiative, or to attend a training or meeting.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred

  • 1-2 years’ experience in the Property & Casualty or Employee Benefits Insurance industries. Overall knowledge of insurance is a must; active license in either industry is preferred, but not required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Experience with a CRM system is a plus

  • Experience with WordPress or Website maintenance software

  • Experience with Social Media Platforms

  • Marketing solutions mentality

  • Creative critical thinker and problem solver, breaking complex issues into simple solutions

  • Exceptional communicator with customers, sales teams, and technical resources

  • Highly organized master of multi-tasking with an inherent sense of urgency

  • Good rapport with Management and Producers/Underwriters – they are your customers!
