Position: New Business Development Associate, Inside Sales

Department: Personal Lines

Work Location: Summit, NJ

General duties for Inside Sales position:

Carrier interfacing, issuance of policies, quoting and generating proposals

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate and thorough reviews of client coverage, exposure, and price, and communicates recommendations to the customer in a timely manner.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of all available products to enhance sales ability.

  • Maintains excellent relationships with clients and carriers by employing the policies, practices, and procedures contained in the workflows and procedures manual.

  • Negotiates the most favorable coverages and rates for our clients.

  • Keeps communication lines open with the lead source generator.

  • Be an avid fan and consistent user of our agency management system. Also be well-versed in the various carrier rating systems.

  • Complete all new business documentations, applications and forms, and attach in agency management system as outlined in new business procedures. Provide a warm hand-off of new clients to the servicing team.

  • Manage your email and other correspondence on a daily basis.

  • Work closely with senior sales members to assist with meeting clients and potential clients, on-boarding on new clients, and completing all items associated with the sales and onboarding process for new clients.

  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

  • Serve as key relationship manager for High-Net Worth or sensitive clients including responsibility for meeting day to day servicing needs. Education and/or Experience

  • Valid P/C license.

  • College degree or minimum 3+ years experience in a similar position or a combination of both.

  • Experience in EPIC AMS

  • Sales ability and experience preferred.

  • High Net Worth carrier exposure

  • Working knowledge of all affluent carrier markets, such as IAG, CHUBB, PURE, Cincinnati

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Negligible

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
