The Role: Operations Generalist

Job Summary

The Operations Generalist, under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, can be best described as a multi-faceted, jack-of-all-trades position which will evolve based on both the companies needs, and where the employee is finding their greatest successes. This position’s roles and responsibilities are unique, as they do not fit under a traditional job title. That’s great news right? You’re unique and don’t like doing the same thing day in and day out either? Well, then this is the career for you! As the Operations Generalist, you don’t have to worry about getting stuck in a rut as no two days will be the same, and you’ll have lots of opportunity to learn new things and grow the role as you develop with the company. We are looking for someone who has an above average comfortability with computers, and a strong interest to develop their skills in areas such as I.T. (desktop support), marketing, basic HTML, social media, video and document creation, fleet & mobile device management, event planning, and much more! We are willing to train in all areas for the right candidate.


  • Accountability - Takes ownership of personal workload

  • Client/Customer Focus - Provides superior service to PHW teammates

  • Communication - Expresses information with consistency and clarity to both management and teammates as necessary.

  • Self-Motivated – Ability to stay on task and effective without constant supervision

  • Professionalism - Demonstrates professional standards of conduct when governing interactions between individuals in a business environment.

  • Teamwork – Ability to work with others in the operations department to successfully deal with all inquiries.

  • Time Management - Balances a myriad of tasks; prioritizes duties as needed.

Job Duties

  • First line Operations help as required

  • Basic HTML

  • The creation, maintenance and updating of the PHW corporate SharePoint site

  • The creation and update of PHW corporate documents

  • Fleet and Mobile Device Management

  • Social Media

  • Event Planning

  • Assistance with other operations tasks as required.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience

  • Certification(s) and/or license(s) appropriate to industry

  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft SharePoint preferred

  • Demonstrated time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands

  • High level of integrity and excellent work ethic

  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

  • Extended periods of sitting

  • Operation of desktop computer and peripherals

  • Working in an office environment
