The purpose of the Benefit Analyst II is to support the Account Executives and Advisors with quoting, reporting and other strategic analytic processes. This position works as an integral part of the Sales and Account Executive Teams and has the responsibility to maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally with HUB clients and vendors.The Benefit Analyst II serves an integral role in helping to increase profitability of existing product lines through the proposal process. This position also acts as a mentor and trainer for the Benefit Analyst role.
Responsible for the new and renewal submission and implementation as it relates to the quoting process. Progressive project management for the timely renewal process concerning quality, deadline, workflow, communication and carrier coordination.
Responsible for the renewal submission and implementation as it relates to the quoting process for groups of all sizes, but with a focus on self-funded, level-funded, and/or 50+ eligible.
Responsible for financial, analytic, benchmark and claims reporting.
Coordinates the RFP process, such as proposal development. Including, preparing census, entering and updating pivotal information as needed, online quoting, and Marketing a group when requested.
Involved with increasing profitability of existing product lines by educating Advisors and Account Executives to use added value services wherever possible.
Attend carrier sales meetings, trainings and webinars.
Growing lines of business (organic growth).
Maintaining detailed knowledge of new and existing products and relaying between carriers, Account Executives & Advisors.
Communication and coordination with the carriers and internal HUB Team.
Expert user in BenAdmin, workflow, carrier and proposal systems.
Perform research and problem resolution of data issues using multiple systems, tools and resources.
Maintains positive relationships both internally and externally.
Maintain HUB Values including HIPPA Compliance.
Ensures we’re meeting HUB turn-around times as outlined in the KPIs.
Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures.
Spearhead improvement of existing tools, forms, and processes.
Support, train and mentor the Benefit Analyst.
Assist with processing of new broker or record requests.
Other tasks as discussed with the Benefit Analyst II.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
High school diploma/GED (college preferred)
4+ years working for a carrier or brokerage firm.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office – intermediate to expert user level preferred.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
Team oriented self-starter with ability to prioritize, monitor and control work flow deadlines and be flexible
Sense of urgency
Understanding of benefits & benefit terminology
Proficient typing ability
High degree of independence and problem-solving skills
Accurate completion of enrollment/changes which includes follow-up with carriers and team
