THE OPPORTUNITY:

HUB’s Customer Service professionals provide critical support to our customers through account management, claims management, day-to-day client oversight, and underwriting services that make us a leading sales and service organization in the insurance industry. Through a robust network of resources, you will be amongst some of the industry’s top talent to help guide and support our customer’s needs and provide them with innovative solutions.

The purpose of the Benefit Administration Specialist is to ensure an amazing customer experience by working through and resolving all benefit enrollment and carrier & benefit system related issues in a timely manner. Think of this position as like being a benefit research detective. You will be collecting and reviewing all the benefit evidence which can include, enrollment forms, client emails, data from employee files, etc., and ensuring it has been entered correctly into carrier portals or HUB’s internal Benefit Administration System.

  • Establishing a friendly, helpful, and trusting relationship with our clients, their employees and HUB’s internal teams. You must be the Shining Star when it comes to customer service. This makes a world of difference to our client companies, their employees, and your HUB team.

  • Being a detective! In the world of benefits no two issues and/or enrollments are alike. You will need to put on your thinking cap and use your analytical skills daily to research specific issues for a caller, client, or internal team member. Your answers will be invaluable, and you will be required to provide clear and accurate information. This doesn’t always mean telling the caller, client, or team member what they want to hear; as an employee benefits broker, we are bound by specific laws and regulations. It just means providing the caller, client, or team member with an answer to help them to understand the information you’re sharing to better cope with the outcome.

  • Patience is virtue! You’re the guru of patience. You’re engaged with your audience and show you care. You love showing off your excellent customer service skills in all your interactions, whether you are answering a call, responding to voice mails, or writing emails.

  • To-do-lists are your jam! You love daily projects which include managing resolutions for clients and their employees, processing monthly/weekly carrier eligibility files, researching and solving issues on discrepancy reports.

  • You get benefits! COBRA, medical, dental, life, vision, etc., you know how they work and are comfortable explaining the details to those you work with including HUB’s carrier partners.

  • Technology is your friend! Learning how to use new systems, whether it be logging into a carrier portal, Human Resource Information System, Microsoft Office or extracting data necessary to perform your job, excites you!

  • Shhh . . . it’s a secret! Confidentiality is a must. The data we manage for our clients demands hyper security sensitivity. Protecting company information is a top priority in our world.

  • Nothing falls through the cracks. Starting and finishing all projects defines success for anyone in this role!

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

You are perfect for this opportunity if you

  • Hold a high school diploma/GED (college degree strongly preferred)

  • Have at least 1 year experience with a carrier or brokerage firm

  • Have the confidence and demeanor to effectively interact with all levels within the organization

  • Are computer literate - Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

  • Not a loner but enjoys working independently.

  • Ability to communicate without using emojis and short text aka -Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Investigative and problem-solving skills that could get you into the FBI.

  • Microsoft Office guru.

  • Mary Kondo organizing skills.

  • Nerves of steel - Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Details make you happy.

  • You who make things happen in this world and value the sense of urgency when necessary.

  • A strong understanding of the ABC’s of benefit plans (medical, dental, life, COBRA etc.).
