The Commercial Lines Account Manager II (Technology Practice) works collaboratively with the Producer and Account Executive and team members in managing an assigned book of business. Coordinates and provides day-to-day service for property/casualty clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships and understanding client needs. Serves as day-to-day contact and provides resolution for client questions and issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages a book of insurance business, while acting with a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making.For larger accounts, participate on team for assigned account servicing duties.
Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
Provides a high level of support to Producers in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business.
Acquires understanding of clients’ insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance plans to determine suitability. Stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact clients.
Works closely with Producers and other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to HUB Broker Standards
Responsible for marketing process. Preparation of submissions to carriers, including application preparation, loss analysis and including other pertinent information for professional, quality new and renewal submissions. In some instances, you will market accounts yourself, in others, you will work with the Marketing team to assist with the marketing of accounts. Submit to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow-up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies. Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages, terms, and conditions and prepare proposals. Make insurance program recommendations.
Adhere to Hub’s Commercial Lines Best Practices -- including written confirmation of new and renewal binding, evidence of coverage, changes to coverage and other related items including proposal/summaries of insurance.
Respond to client and underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
Organizes client meetings when necessary, including loss control surveys, inspections.
Appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of data in those systems.
Prepares reports for management as required.
Oversees functions performed by Account Administrators as required.Supports, mentors, and trains Account Administrators, as necessary.
Attends industry related continuing education training and courses.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Travel and attend client meetings (post Covid) as directed by Producer.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
You are perfect for this opportunity if you
At least 5-7 years of Account Manager experience in a brokerage environment
Middle Market / Large Commercial Account experience required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
P&C License required
Professional designation preferred (CIC, ARM, CIC, CPCU)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and working knowledge of EPIC (ideal)
Due to Covid, candidate must be able to work from home and have work environment conducive to working remotely.
Full time “Work from Home” arrangement available.
