POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides support to the Employee Benefits Service and Sales Team by performing clerical and administrative tasks for
the team to support the overall retention of accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE:
Foster a positive and mutually supportive working environment, in order to provide the best possible client service. Addresses the needs of our co-workers and clients with professionalism, positive attitude, and promptness.
Print and bind all client / prospect proposals
Add and maintain Splits in Benefit Point
Print and bind all materials for employee open enrollment meetings
Request Summaries, SBC and EOC and save in client file; may utilize Resource Pro for assistance
Follow-up on Broker of Record letters and requested documents
Understand client’s Benefit Administration System for eligibility requests/processing
Review employee enrollments/terminations/changes for accuracy and oversee process through
Resource Pro
- Review and process employee enrollments/terminations/changes processed through clients Benefit
Administration System and oversee process through Resource Pro
Follow-up with client on missing data on enrollments/terminations/changes
Notify Account Manager/Account Executive if there is consistent, on-going errors of paperwork from
client
- Communicate with Account Manager/Account Executive of late enrollment requests so they can
address with client
- Review and Scrub New Group Employee Applications, create list of pending items for Account
Manager/Account Executive
Scan, attach and maintain detailed records in database according to agency standards
Prepare Master Applications, POP, COBRA & ERISA wraps as requested
Prepare Provider Directories
Order Client ID Cards
Follow-up on requests for Schedule A for 5500 Filings
Peer review Benefit Information in proposals and/or Enrollment Guides
Request information from carrier for Billing Audits for Account Manager/Account Executive’s review
Order and maintain office and carrier supplies
Cover receptionists phone responsibilities as requested during their absence, vacation or sick days
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
High School diploma and Computer literacy required.
Insurance industry experience preferred, specifically in employee benefits.
Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to compose clear and concise correspondence.
