Hub International Account Executive, Retirement Services in Sacramento, California

HUB International is striving to become a market leader in the Retirement & Private Wealth space by hiring people who are experts in their field and desire to build new organizational capabilities and contribute to a culture that strives for excellence in our work and what we deliver to our clients.

The Retirement Services Account Executive (RSAE) is a key member of the HUB CAL Region service team. This position supports multiple retirement plan advisors in their day-to-day efforts to support their books of institutional clients. A successful incumbent will be able to manage a wide variety of tasks and meet associated deadlines. The RSAE will serve as the client service air traffic controller helping to ensure that an unsurpassed level of proactive services to each client is delivered.

*The position can be remotely-based (or, based in a HUB office) in CA, AZ, NV, WA or OR

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Investment Review

  • Audit plan lineups and make recommendations

  • Generate quarterly reports and draft investment commentary

  • Manage preferred fund lineups

  • Attend client meetings OR run client meetings independently as requested

  • Client Meetings

  • Ensure that proper client meeting notes are received, reviewed, filed, and notable action items are scheduled and/or assigned.

  • Schedule upcoming client activities including committee meetings and annual reviews.

  • Assist team members in preparing for upcoming client meetings including creating agendas, handouts, reports, loading iPads, and other key materials including meeting templates.

  • Proposal Requests (Incoming and Outgoing)

  • Support advisor Requests for Proposal

  • Secure proposals and prepare benchmarking reports for startups, prospects, and existing clients

  • Assist with data gathering and plan design, attend implementation calls

  • Attend client meetings OR run client meetings independently as requested

  • Document Compilation and Processing

  • Create new client forms and update as needed for amendments, contact changes, etc.

  • Review conversion documents

  • Review employee notices

  • Secure compliance approval for client-facing materials

  • Sponsor / Participant Services

  • Respond to sponsor inquiries regarding plan design, notices received, etc.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding plan features and options

  • Provide support for rollovers, investment allocation changes, etc.

  • Provide enrollment support and retirement plan education (1-on-1 or group)

  • Prepare support materials (flyers, meeting announcements, etc.)

  • Research

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on vendor services and scope

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on regulatory changes and guidance

  • Travel: Negligible

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2-5 years of related retirement services experience

  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain shortly after hire, Series 6, 63 and 65 licenses

  • Moderate to advanced understanding of investment evaluation metrics (Preferred)

  • Moderate to advanced understanding of retirement plan design and regulations (Preferred)

  • Effective presentation skills in a small or large group setting (Required)

  • Ability to explain complex retirement plan concepts (Preferred)

  • Adobe Acrobat proficiency (Required)

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Required)

  • Familiarity with retirement plan fund scoring methodologies (RPAG, fi360, etc.) (Preferred)

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. (Required)

  • Able to flex and adapt to changing organizational needs as this function continues to grow and evolve. (Required)

  • Proven able to manage multiple projects, assignments and tasks in a timely fashion by prioritizing and organizing daily work activities. (Required)

  • Aptitude for proactive and reactive (fixing existing problems) Problem Solving (Required)

  • Ability to work more strategically and be comfortable rolling up-your-sleeves and working with team members to solve day to day problems (Required)
