The Account Manager (AM) will provide professional, courteous, and knowable account management and brokerage services to assigned clients, having the primary responsibility for account retention and satisfaction. Working alongside Practice Leaders and Account Executives as assigned, the AM shall be principally responsible for overseeing management of assigned accounts, servicing and maintain existing accounts. The Account Manager needs to exhibit a desire and willingness to support the client and the HUB team. A can do and team motivated attitude is vital to the long-term success.

The AM will interface with a service team directly for assigned accounts, involving service related activities in support of clients. Issues related to policy processing, maintenance of client data on the EPIC agency management system, routine changes, and other transactional or clerical work fall mostly within the domain of the AM and assigned service team. ​

  • Ensure Producers or AEs, are fully informed about and prepared for all client meetings and interfaces so as to be able to competently and proactively manage the client relationship.

  • Provide exceptional client care directly to the client and in support of the Account Executive and servicing team

  • Respond to customer requests directly, compiling information and submitting information to appropriate insurance companies and binding coverage where appropriate

  • Process client request and servicing needs such as policy changes, policy checking, proposals, etc.

  • Participate in formal account reviews, client meetings, and carrier meetings to stay current on industry trends and client needs

  • Prepare proposals, cover notes, customer correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standards

  • Review and prioritize all assigned tasks on a daily basis including, company mail, emails, activities

  • Maintain accuracy of electronic files that may be housed in EPIC per agency standards

  • Manage the Marketing of accounts to include new, renewal, and midterm changes

  • Collect data from the client, create an expert submission to be presented, negotiate suitable rates and coverages with company underwriters, present producers with best programs, and bind coverage.

  • Other responsibilities as needed


The expected salary range for this position is $64,480.00 - $105,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience, education and licensing certifications, geographic location, approved salary budget, as well as the specific positions business lines, complexity, scope and level. You are perfect for this opportunity if you:

  • 5-7 years solid experience on mid-market account, with some construction or energy

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills

  • Self-motivated

  • 5-7 years minimum of relevant commercial experience

  • Large account and construction or energy experience highly recommended

  • Ability to work independently

  • Active California P&C license
