Hub International Supervisor, Community Branch Network in Richmond, British Columbia

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Supervisor you are an integral part of the team as in addition to serving clients in all of their insurance needs, you will support the team in the day to day operations of the branch, training, coaching, and assisting where is needed. We are seeking an individual with exceptional client service skills and demonstrated leadership skills to join our Richmond branch in a regular full time position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Supervisor you will:

  • In collaboration with the Branch Leadership team work toward the development of a high performing and engaged team

  • Build positive client, employee and dealer relationships

  • Support, coach and train employees including team leads

  • Resident Technical and Process expert for the branch

  • Conduct professional, quarterly performance reviews with all direct reports

  • Maximize resources through effective scheduling

  • Ensure compliance with all insurer (ICBC, CNS, Family etc.), Insurance Council of BC and Privacy Act rules and regulations

  • Manage sales, retention and service needs of clients, balancing between Insurance Advisor and Supervisor duties as appropriate

  • Ensure control of ICBC inventory and correct handling of all documents and funds

  • Lead the continuous improvement, organization and efficiency of the branch

  • Handle and resolve client and dealership concerns in a positive proactive fashion

  • Ensure employees are connected to Hub in the bigger picture and understand the mission, values and goals of Hub

  • Perform Insurance Advisor duties when necessary

  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

  • Level 2 General Insurance License or actively pursuing Level 2 License

  • Mandarin or Cantonese speaking abilities are an asset

  • Demonstrated abilities in providing exceptional client service

  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities

  • Excellent Insurance Product knowledge

  • Sales drive and initiative

  • Intermediate level of computer knowledge

  • Minimum three years’ experience in the insurance industry in a leadership capacity

Department General Management

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
