Sales Specialist Providence, RI

We are looking for a motivated, well-spoken and energetic inside sales representative to join our Vive sales team. In this role you will be responsible for contacting current and potential clients on our proprietary on-line term life insurance submission platform, Vive . You will be responsible for driving sales, strengthening relationships with current customers, and developing new leads. You will be adept at telling the Vive story and influencing behavior change from paper term insurance submissions to online submissions. You should be able to close sales, meet sales goals and collaborate with all members of the BSMG team. Our customers are financial advisors and independent insurance agents.

To be successful in this role you should be able to build instant rapport, identify if the customer is a good fit for Vive and collaborate with our entire sales team to refer customers when additional insurance needs are applicable. In addition, you will manage a book of active insurance advisors and prospects and successfully increase profitable sales among a book of producers and prospects at our 40+ year industry-leading independent distribution company.

The qualified candidate will have insurance or financial services knowledge, proven experience with this type of sales process and a track record of achieving sales goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.

  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.

  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates.

  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.

  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.

  • Staying informed about competing products and services.

  • Researching and qualifying new leads.

  • Resolve customer inquiries

  • Work in partnership with our vendor Vive Solutions


  • Two years in previous financial services environment

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time

  • Previous experience working with submission software

  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs required

  • College degree preferred

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000 and will include monthly bonuses based on paid business. Bonuses are contingent on completion of training. This salary will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
