As a Commercial Lines Account Manager you will support a large book of business. Your job responsibilities as an Commercial Lines Account Manager:

Provide exceptional service with accuracy through processing renewals, endorsements, policies, and audits by agency required timelines. Ensure timely processing of invoices and client requests. Coordinating and managing the activities necessary to keep client detail updated in agency management systems. Support the account management team to gather marketing data, retain quotes, and maintain client/carrier correspondence in agency imaging system. Follow up on expirations with account management team members and underwriters to renew and obtain best coverage and pricing for clients. Assist account management team in gathering information to determine market availability for various classes of business. Assist account management team in obtaining quotes from carriers for new and existing business. Negotiate initial pricing and coverages with company underwriters or insurance brokers. Review and prepare coverage analysis through the proposal process. Provide producer with the proposal. Refer claim issues regarding client loss or company denial problems to the producer and/or claims department. Become technically competent on insurance coverages and options that are offered by the insurance companies. This includes working towards insurance designations. Continue to broaden knowledge of the industry with continuing education, learning markets. Ensures to follow agency errors & omissions best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school preferred.

  • Two to three years of experience preferred.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications.

  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.

  • Good listening skills and ability to determine clients’ needs efficiently

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills required

  • The preferred candidate is a team player with a great attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
