Hub International Technical Insurance Assistant in Oakville, Ontario

Position Overview:

Totten is looking for a professional individual to provide exceptional operations support in our Oakville office reporting to the Programs Manager. The position requires the individual to have strong attention to detail and data entry skills. This is an excellent role to work in a fast-paced service environment with an opportunity to grow into an Underwriter Assistant role. Role Responsibilities:

  • Issuance of documentation: New/Renewal/Endorsements /Registered Letters, Certificates of Insurance, etc.

  • Triage – reviewing and assigning broker submissions to the appropriate Underwriting Department

  • Coding of all policy documentation (under binding contracts as well as company issued)

  • Bordereaux completion

  • Broker statement issuance

  • Other assistance as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year in the insurance industry in a support role or equivalent

  • Graduate of College/University Insurance Program preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and industry software

  • Effective communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team structure
