Job Information

Hub International AVP Absence Management in New York, New York

The Workforce Absence Management (WAM) is a national consulting division within HUB, specifically within the National Employee Benefits division. As such, the AVP Absence Management will be able to work with teams across the country, but will have primary responsibility over HUB regions in the East/South. The AVP Absence Management will support the team with various projects, sales meetings, and be an integral part of continuously improving and developing our practice.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge in Integrated Absence Management, which spans workers’ compensation, short and long term disability, FMLA, and sick/vacation/PTO

  • Consult clients on various absence management programs, including but not limited to program design, processes/function, intra-program coordination, and absence vendor management

  • Conduct analytical evaluations on data received from carriers and employers related to workers’ compensation, short and long term disability, FMLA/leave of absence, and sick/vacation/PTO plans

  • Build and maintain external networks including vendors, partners, industry resources, etc..

  • Develop strategy options and evaluation criteria for clients

  • Develop and implement strategies for clients around absence management

  • Develop skills in fact-finding, analytic investigation to identify issues and risks

  • Identify people and systems implications required to enable solutions

  • Network with HUB-internal customers for new business development opportunities

  • Consultant may be asked to present to external customers in regional seminars/presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from four-year college or university.

  • Experience with an employer, consulting group, or insurance carrier is preferable

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to travel as needed up to 50%

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High degree of self-motivation and discipline

  • Position can be 100% remote
