The Mid-Market Risks Practice is looking for a dynamic and results oriented Account Manager to join their growing and fast paced Commercial Practice in the HUB Markham office. The ideal candidate possesses strong Property & Casualty experience with emphasis on non-profit and transportation clients. This is an ideal role for someone who is hands-on, and client focused. This role reports to the Vice President, Operations.

Work collaboratively in a team-based structure with an assigned Assistant to retain and grow existing portfolios.
Supporting Account team by researching and analyzing client coverage trends and identifying areas of risk and opportunities along with solutions.
Effective client management of long tenured accounts, ensuring client retention and satisfaction.
Identify and generate new business opportunities and current client up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
Manage renewal list, working 120 days ahead.
Marketing: Identifies the client or prospects’ circumstances and placing their deal in the marketplace.
Maintains acceptable results on receivables, as established. Escalates action for any unresolved, outstanding client premiums.
Account business planning, budgeting and forecasting. Participates in the annual budget planning process.
Coaching and mentoring to teammates.
Establish networks and partnerships for a diverse book of business.
Providing suggestions for continuous improvements in workflows and procedures for sales and service.
Participating in industry networking functions, training and professional development courses to enhance skills industry knowledge.
Participating in Underwriter conference calls and meetings.
Participates in formal presentations, attendance at client meetings/Annual General Meetings.
Reports monthly on the results of book
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma or equivalent work experience
CIP, CAIB or CRM Designation or in progress
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Commercial brokerage experience
Experience with TAM or Epic, Policy Works broker management system an asset
Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong organizational, time and client management skills
Effective communication skills: verbal, written and presentation skills

Strong knowledge of commercial insurance industry trends
