Senior Account Executive - Commercial Marine Business (Potential for Hybrid) Lynnfield, MA

ISR Marine Insurance Services LLC currently has a an opportunity for a Senior Account Executive – Commercial Marine Business for our Lynnfield, MA office


Assume ultimate responsibility for management and retention/servicing of existing/new wholesale and retail marine business generated by the agency principal with an opportunity to produce new business as appropriate.


Review and analyze commercial marine accounts for coverage, limits, etc. and make appropriate recommendations to clients and producers.

Work with management on new business initiatives.

Develop and maintain relationships with clients/producers to ensure that all service needs are met.

Coordinate service, as appropriate, with an assigned Assistant/Account Manager.

Develop exposure information from clients/producers and vet and/or prepare Applications, etc. for submission to the market for both new and renewal business.

Determine proper marketing strategy based on a client or producer’s needs.

Vet quotes received from the market for compliance with what was requested and present to our producers in a timely fashion and also put together proposals, etc. and present to retail clients.

Interface with accounting department on an as needed basis.

Keep informed of changes and trends within the industry for the purpose of anticipating and responding to the needs of the producers/clients.

Conduct business in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of both the business objectives and earnings potential of the company.

Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.


  • Ten to fifteen years of related experience in commercial insurance.

  • Producer’s license.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to client visits, conferences, producer visits and carrier meetings as required.

  • Thorough knowledge of commercial lines coverages and markets.

  • Prior experience working for a wholesale operation preferred but not required.

  • Limited knowledge of marine insurance coverages and markets with experience handling marine accounts a plus but not required.

  • Strong computer literacy required with prior experience with AMS 360 a plus but not required.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Required Education: High school or equivalent
