The Claims Service Associate is a critical position supporting claims advocacy teams and clients in all phases of claims service. This position directly affects customer satisfaction and positively impacts the client retention goals of the organization.
Quickly identifies the requirements of the incoming claims task and executes steps to complete the task with accuracy, empathy and speed.
Touchpoint client communications for claims (i.e. new claims intake calls, answer non-coverage client inquiries, provide claim updates, claim follow up calls)
Maintain data and documentation in EPIC (i.e. claim number, claim status, payment information)
Provide key stakeholders with claim updates.
Escalate coverage related calls or issues to Claims Advocates.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
1-2 years' work experience with insurance claims organization or insurance brokerage preferred.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills – ability to effectively communicate to internal and external parties
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proven organizational and time management skills
Property & Casualty license preferred- for state training (licensing preferred within the first 6 months of employment).
