Sales Assistant (13 month contract)

HUB Financial Inc., Canada’s largest Life Insurance Managing General Agency is looking for a dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team working out of our London, ON office. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with strong interpersonal skills, solid administrative and sales experience, customer focused and a team player. This position reports directly to the Regional Director, Sales and is responsible for a combination of Sales Assistant and reception duties including:

· Responding to Broker requests via telephone, e-mail or fax

· Organizing events in the region, managing event calendars, managing CE (continuing education) credits

· Organizing seminar planning, posting and attendance

· Quoting new business to Brokers

· Managing quoting software supplies and distribution

· Managing marketing supplies and materials

· Providing illustration packaging/concepts library

· Providing carrier information and basic product outline, including guidance on HUBLINK usage and navigation

· Providing support on general administrative office services and is able to refer Brokers for specialized assistance

· Reception duties (answering incoming calls, preparing incoming and outgoing mail)

Qualifications & Experience:

· Post-secondary education

· Minimum of 1 -2 years’ experience within sales/marketing or an administrative capacity

· LOMA or other industry related courses considered an asset

· Willingness to commit to higher industry education (i.e. CFP, IFIC, CSI etc.)

· Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Customer focused and a strong team player with a great attitude

· Solid administrative skills including strong attention to detail, organization and accuracy

· Ability to multitask and exercise initiative and work effectively in a team environment

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
