Position Summary

The Employee Benefits Strategist is responsible for consistently delivering an experience that is deliberately designed to make our clients more successful in their strategy, more knowledgeable of/in their people and more comfortable with the decisions they have available. You will be responsible for augmenting our production force in sharing our HUB Value Proposition to deliver quality employee experiences for our prospects and future customers. You will be the part of the team that helps our clients connect the dots in strategic meetings, using our proprietary software platform and your experience to clarify a client’s current position and preview what is ahead.

Reporting to the HUB Employee Benefits Practice Leader, this position is best filled by a passionate employee benefits expert with a flair for communication. You will be the bridge between heady technical information and the “what can I do next” execution steps for a client. You will translate data into insights and insights into action. You will help simplify strategies into actionable steps and connect in our industry and specialty practices where appropriate. You will be the proxy for the experts and practices that are with other clients.

This role is highly visible within the Employee Benefits operation. In partnership with the EB Sales Leader and EB Practice Leader, you will help HUB Carolinas drive organic growth and retention, respectively. You will collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and the heads of our Specialty Practices to hone our message and increase our client value.

Our Timing:

We want to find the perfect partner and will wait. However, we like to move quickly in our search! Ideally, we can have you onboard well ahead of strategy season so that you can help us craft narratives for our clients, make sense of messy strategies in prospects and chart a course towards simplification improvement and savings. Our process will be for you to meet with leadership, key teammates and some of our specialty resources and experts. Further, we want you to meet with our Practice Leaders nationally to know what to expect from the role. Don’t worry… you’ll Zoom everywhere out-of-state and travel only for the required-in-person meetings.

In this role, you will:

Convey our HUB Value Proposition in conversations with prospects Assist teams in threading a narrative around the interrelation of a client’s employees, their behaviors and the underlying costs of those decisions Drive immersive tools with clients to reveal truths about their plans, designs, etc. and align outcomes with their goals and objectives Assist our producers with closing new business by speaking to every HUB specialty Ensure we are delivering the right sales and consulting experience Join large or otherwise important cases as a strategic presence Play a key role at finalist meetings as an Employee Benefits Expert Activate and strategically deploys specialty services and experts to win business, secure existing accounts and evolve multi-year plans for our customers Go do the “tough stuff” and position your experts and resources to be the best for a client. What you offer us:
