Regional Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist (Insurance)
The Mergers & Acquisition Specialist has the primary responsibility to drive forward the M&A process within the Hub South regional team; specifically the post-close integration process. This person will work with the Regional team (in coordination with the M&A team) to provide support and drive forward the pre-close due diligence and post-close integration transitions. The M&A Specialist will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement and streamlining M&A due diligence and integration processes at the regional level
M&A Project Manager Responsibilities
Work with corporate M&A team on logistics for M&A meetings and Due Diligence
Assist with pre-closing reports and prospect review
Post-closing, will be responsible for working with local teams to set up key meetings, product introductions, resource introductions, etc.
Introduce critical path and other internal HUB processes to Acquisitions
Troubleshoot and involve resources as necessary when M&A deals hit snags
Assist with key systems conversion processes (EPIC, Cloud, Benefitpoint, etc.)
Take ownership of post-close integration process once Corporate M&A “passes the baton” to the regional team. Specifically, the following:
Notifying carriers and clients (working with the sellers) to transition the business to HUB
Implementing HUB branding/marketing changes (co-branding)
Adding acquisitions to HUB’s insurance policies (pre-close)
Provide training on HUB’s various tools/resources working with the various HUB discipline leaders (Kronos, Workday, CRM, ZyWave, etc.)
Participate in update calls and ensure that integration progress is tracked and on plan
Ability to travel extensively*LI-AS
Experience and Education requirements:
2-5 years of experience in the insurance industry strongly preferred
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Project management experience
Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up
Must be able to interact and collaborate effectively with senior management
Must be able to travel as needed
