The Opportunity!

With a passion for continuous learning complemented by experience in the industry, you will be responsible for helping our employees develop product and technical expertise along with the service delivery style needed to drive an industry leading client experience.

This position is one of two, reporting to the Auto Insurance Manager, and working closely with Operations Support and Retail leadership, the role will deliver training to HUB Canada West auto employees leveraging a full range of tools and delivery methods that facilitate remote and virtual learning. In addition, the role will contribute to the development of training materials and identify areas where additional training support is required and oversee completion of training outlined in the HUB Ready learning path for Auto.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and deliver product knowledge, technical and client experience training to new and existing auto staff.

  • Facilitate and provide virtual hands-on support and coaching to trainees in our live training environment; anticipate escalations and assist or take over transactions when needed.

  • Monitor our live training environment to ensure optimal client experience.

  • Monitor trainee productivity and adherence to policies for attendance, established and develop procedures to align with business goals.

  • Consult with Operations and Retail Leadership team, while keeping them informed on issues and problems

  • Build and develop content/resources to assess areas of skills and training.

  • Conduct quality and skills assessments; document training evaluations.

  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to trainees, communicate performance expectations and standards while in training.

  • Offer follow-up support post training to ensure program and business needs align.

  • A keen eye to assist operations with the identification and implementation of workflow enhancements and updates.

  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions by delivering training to help support onboarding of new brokerage acquisitions.

  • Occasionally, provide assistance to retail operations by responding to level 1 inquiries or working in branch to serve clients.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Auto insurance experience

  • Demonstrated success of 3+ years’ experience delivering training to audiences with diverse backgrounds and experience levels.

  • Post-secondary education in learning and development through courses or a certificate.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate and deliver training virtually.

  • Proactive and proven ability to coach, inspire and develop others.

  • Experience providing feedback and evaluating job-readiness.

  • A deep drive to be a team player and to collaborate with others.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Level 2 General Insurance License – industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma-BCIT)

  • Experience working or supervising in a contact centre environment would be considered an asset.

This Auto Trainer role allows for working remotely (in British Columbia), or within one of our 80+ branches if needed. Telecommuting must have high functioning service and dedicated workspace with no interruptions.
