Hub International VP/SVP, Strategy Implementation and Strategic Partnerships in Chicago, Illinois
Reporting to the EVP of Personal Lines Strategy & Business Development the VP/SVP, Strategy Implementation & Strategic Partnerships will be empowered to effectively implement and manage planning, business performance, and strategic initiatives to ensure the growth and success of HUB US Personal Lines. This position serves as a key member of HUB’s Personal Lines Leadership team and is responsible for leading strategic development, implementation, and execution in support of the team’s decision making. This executive also creates shared alignment around the organization’s vision, clarifies the group’s strategy, and ensures the planning and associated work align with group and enterprise objectives. This executive synthesizes insights and develops a point of view on how to seize opportunities, avoid threats, and ultimately differentiate in the marketplace on behalf of HUB Personal Lines and its customers.
In addition to strategy execution and implementation, this role will lead, build, and develop our Strategic Partnerships Business Development team and partner with key stakeholders to develop, evaluate and grow potential and existing external partnership opportunities. He/She will also drive M&A activity targeting independent insurance agencies. We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrated success in building teams, refining partnership strategy and who has the ability to drive and manage our external partnership strategy, contracting, execution and revenue growth through the executions of multi-million-dollar relationships.
Partner with HUB’s executive leadership to formulate and articulate the strategic vision and investment priorities, including review of the competitive environment and prioritization of financial/non-financial resources
With the support of other key stakeholders, develop the strategy and key growth initiatives necessary to realize the vision and build sustainable competitive advantage
Act as a trusted advisor to the EVP of Personal Lines Strategy & Business development by providing value-added insight, counsel, and management support.
Drive alignment around the strategic plan, including Business Strategic Outlooks, Country Strategic Plans, Annual Operating Plans, and other key activities
Provide oversight of business performance, customer analytics, including benchmarking, KPIs, competitor analysis, and execution monitoring, to ensure delivery of established business objectives
Conduct reviews of businesses, products, segments, and operations to identify opportunities and issues and recommend solutions that improve long term competitiveness
Complete regular market, industry, and competitor analysis to support strategic planning
Lead and implement cross-business projects, initiatives and processes, based on the appropriate framework, that underpin the strategic direction of the business and operations
Support identification, assessment and management of strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, and/or disposal opportunities which support the direction of the business, as required
Optimize and lead, with appropriate processes and approvals, a disciplined proposal and offer management process

Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Engineering, Science or related discipline required; MBA Preferred
8 or more years of business experience demonstrating proficiency in technical consulting skills.
6 or more years’ business experience demonstrating proficiency in technical consulting skills and 2 or more years’ experience of strategy consulting experience highly preferred
Proven track record in project execution environment
Proven track record influencing business decisions
Previous P&L Experience

Familiarity with P&C Insurance Distribution.
