Hub International Vice President, Learning & Change in Chicago, Illinois

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Technology and Operations, you will work alongside technology, operations and M&A leaders to develop people development and change strategies which support large-scale initiatives. Position Overview:

The Vice President, Learning & Change provides strategic direction and leadership for a team of learning professionals committed to the design, development and delivery of learning programs that support the technology and operational skills development of our employees. Trainers who facilitate learning events and activities directly to HUB end users on a variety of broker management systems, point solutions and standard business processes related to servicing client accounts. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the quality of instructional delivery amongst the team of Operations Trainers and working with staff to develop the quarterly training schedule. In this role, the Team Lead will monitor and provide coaching to Operations Trainers on platform skills to ensure a consistently amazing experience for Hub learners. At times, this role will work closely with subject matter experts and vendors on continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enable organizational business growth through enhancing the performance of operational teams and leaders across HUB

  • Build and execute strategy and processes for the assessment and development of global learning programs across all lines of business

  • Understand key business goals, and be able to determine the talent development needs across lines of business to support these business goals

  • Support organizational management and leadership development programs and initiatives, ensuring appropriate adaptation to meet operational and IT leadership needs

  • Lead a team of exceptional learning and development and change management professionals to bring innovative solutions to our global audiences

  • Drive innovative approaches to learning and development through industry insights and innovative adoption of best practices

  • Inspire the development and growth of our Knowledge Management team to create the delivery roadmap and unlock the curated skills and knowledge of our global workforce

  • Oversee change management and organization design initiatives providing strategic insight to goals and execution strategies

  • Partner and advise senior leaders to identify targeted solutions that address business-critical talent development imperatives

  • Champion the development and deployment of learning and talent analytics to measure progress, drive action, and inform decision making

  • Advance learning governance practices and drive integration and alignment across the Regions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • 10 + years of experience leading a corporate learning or talent development function within a mid-sized organization (12k+ employees)

  • Demonstrated expertise in learning strategy development with proven results in translating strategies into action

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record for influencing leaders across all levels

  • Proven track record with working in a fast-paced environment

  • General knowledge of insurance and insurance brokerage operations

  • Experience with staff development and/or people management

  • A strong knowledge of adult learning principles and change methodologies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% time
