We are hiring a Technical Product Director to enable the design and implementation of initiatives set forth in the Hub Financial Center (HFC) innovation roadmap. The HFC manages a majority of transactional accounting functions and processes central to Hub’s enterprise operations. The Director will report to the SVP of Enterprise Product and Strategy with close alignment to the HFC and Enterprise Technology teams. The ideal candidate for this role is one who can bridge between technology and business requirements playing a pivotal role in ensuring seamless successful implementation of key technology initiatives.

We are looking for a leader with experience in executing strategic technology-enabled programs and a deep understanding of technology and data architecture, technology strategy, program management and cross-functional program integration. This leader would have the opportunity to join a fast-growing organization that is leveraging technology and digital capabilities to transform insurance and risk management solutions. The ideal leader will be a self-starter with a strong servant-leader mentality who seeks to understand stakeholder needs and work collaboratively across the enterprise to proactively meet those needs.

We are looking for someone with following competencies.

• Partner with the HFC team and Product Director in the ideation, technical development, and implementation of various technology initiatives across the HUB Financial Center.

• Formulate the innovative design of architectural solutions encompassing multiple logical or physical aspects. Identify opportunities and recommend architectural enhancement.

• Collaborate closely with strategic vendors and partners to assess and shape product roadmaps and associated product features and functionalities.

• Proven ability across end-to-end product delivery, and overseeing products utilizing microservice architecture, AWS services, and REST APIs.

• Experienced solution architect to provide technical oversight across the implementation of various HFC initiatives including implementation of accounting solutions and serve as the primary interface for this initiative.

• Engage with leadership across business and technology to present and deliver detailed technical solutions and technical oversight.

• Establish an innovation delivery pipeline to continually improve products post-launch based on stakeholder input and feedback.

• Establish the cadence necessary to operate as a high performing cross-functional team in partnership with stakeholders.

• Scope, prioritize, and translate technical and design tasks into delivery plans.

• Strong vision and background in technical product capability and market insights.

• Ability to harness cross-industry knowledge of leading-edge technical product capabilities and translate that into the vision for the team.

• Strong inter-team collaboration between various technical, business, Accounting, and IT teams

• Ability to drive continued innovation in thinking, requirements, and delivered capabilities.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of technology experience across solution architecture and integration with exposure to the P&C insurance domain, including a combination of technology consulting and hands on technical development across large scale transformations.

• Advanced degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong technical background with a core competency in software development and architecture.

• Experience with technical accounting systems and related solutions.

• Proficiency in web technologies including Angular, JavaScript, APIs, and API Authentication Patterns.

• Mastery of application architecture concepts such as Microservices, API designs, and EventDriven architecture.

• Demonstrate strong expertise and knowledge of software development, cloud architecture, API integrations. AWS/Azure Certified Solution architects preferred.

• Experience in architecture design, testing and deployment of APIs, MuleSoft Certified Architect is preferred.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a Scaled Agile environment, experience across Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 5.0/6.0) preferred.

This position reports into Chicago and will be a hybrid-based working model.
