Hub International Strategic Resource Manager, Specialty Practices in Chicago, Illinois

The Strategic Resource Manager [or SRM] is a new role designed to support the strategically important evolution of the Specialty practices at HUB. The SRM will report directly to the Knowledge Manager, Specialty Practices. This position does not have any direct reports.

This individual will be responsible for supporting our Practice leadership in sales support, lead generation assistance and act as a point of contact for that Practice. The role will be a perfect fit for self-starters who are focused on delivering innovative new solutions for our Practices.

The ideal candidate will help promote HUB International solutions to generate new business and support client retention. They are responsible for educating HUB Producers on the tools and resources that HUB has to offer, while finding innovative ways to showcase HUB’s unique capabilities in the industries they support.

The role has four critical enablers

  1. Lead / monitor/ follow up on prospect management for pipeline

  2. Lead / advise tools and resources for producers

  3. Assist with marketing content development and deployment

  4. Coordinate content for practice calls

Scope of Responsibilities:

Sales Enablement

  • Interface directly with Practice leadership, Expert Producers and the broader Practice to present HUB value adds and benefits in sales meeting and new business pitch environments

  • Assist with development of scrubbed lead lists, RFPs, capabilities presentations, benchmarking reports, premium volume stats, and sell sheets

  • Ability to develop and execute vertically driven sales campaigns based on Producer’s needs

  • Work with corporate Marketing & Communications in the creation of and execution of advertisements, microsites, email blasts, and enhancement of Producer social media presence

  • Main point of contact for all Producer and Client facing tools & resources

  • Curate weekly news output by Industry, as needed

  • Use Excel to create reports using data pulled from EPIC and CORE [internal HUB systems]

  • Administrator for all tools & resources including activation of new accounts, reporting, data mining, troubleshooting, and tracking utilization

Required Skills & Experience

§ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Public Relations or equivalent useful

§ Intermediate to advanced abilities in Excel preferred

§ Knowledge of CRM systems [particularly Microsoft Dynamics] preferred

§ Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, across all organizational levels

§ Most importantly: Must be a team player, collaborative and have great relationship building skills


§ External Candidate - Boston, Sacramento, Chicago, Denver, LA or NYC

§ Internal Candidate - Any HUB office in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico
