Hub International Senior UX Designer in Chicago, Illinois

We are looking for a talented Senior UX Designer to join our Digital Marketing team. The ideal candidate is competent in all facets of the design process while also being able to connect the dots between business needs, innovation, and good design. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to focus in on project requirements and identify the right solutions to meet them. They attack the small and large problems with the same relentless pursuit for clarity and creativity.

This position reports to the Director, Digital Product and partners with the Go-to-Market, Field, and Digital marketing teams to create personalized customer experiences for our clients resulting in revenue generation and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct and conduct ongoing concept and usability testing and gather feedback

  • Work with product marketing stakeholders to understand currently established personas and further develop additional personas, as necessary, through user research and data

  • Conduct & Facilitate requirements, design, and implementation reviews.

  • Work with internal and agency teams to design user-friendly website components and templates/landing pages/emails/forms/applications/interfaces based on established requirements and specifications.

  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers

  • Review user adoption of deliverables and user acceptance testing.

  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)

  • Work with and manage UI designers to implement delightful, innovative visual designs

  • Perform competitive analysis and research for projects

  • Researching and analyzing industry UX/UI trends and competitor sites and strategies.

  • Create and revise information architecture documents and diagrams including but not limited to: content diagrams, content maps, wire frame diagrams, comprehensive diagrams and static prototypes.

  • Work with agency and internal teams to complete the information architecture and interface development processes for new production projects including site map, wire frame layout and template development/testing (browser and platform compatibility) while maintaining quick page load times.

  • Documenting ongoing progress and status of projects in process and communicates these updates during weekly status with development team and digital marketing team.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of UX design experience as a key, hands- on lead UX designer of a UI/UX team through the product development cycle of successfully launched web, mobile, and/or software applications.

  • Experience driving a user experience from start-to-finish including UX and UI.

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, Fine Arts or related field is desired, but not required.

  • An amazing online portfolio that showcases multiple types of projects and solutions

  • Understand website/application/experience specifications and user psychology

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

  • Mastery/Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and UX design tools such as Axure, Sketch and Invision

  • Deep understanding and mastery of industry-standard research techniques

  • Experienced at creating and revising information architecture documents and diagrams including, but not limited to: content diagrams, content maps, wireframe diagrams, comprehensive diagrams and static prototypes.

  • Passionate about understanding (and keeping the team informed about) current and emerging UX/UI trends.

  • Understanding of foundational front end design including familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS design capabilities

  • Fluent in responsive design, mobile/tablet UI/UX

  • Content Strategy experience desired but not required

  • Additional design education such as certificates, workshops, or internships a plus
