Hub International MAI Business Partner-Remote in Chicago, Illinois

At HUB International, the MAI Business Partner manages, oversees, and is accountable for all aspects of technology integration projects to ensure completion on time and within budget. The MAI Business Partner is responsible for leading due diligence efforts to assess IT risk and understand integration scope and budget. In addition, the MAI Business Partner leads and guides a team in systems integration projects, acting as the main point of contact for the project, managing financials, and communicating status to senior leadership, tracking and mediating all escalations raised by the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage a portfolio of integration projects reporting status to senior regional leadership.

  • Facilitate and conduct Technology and Operations Acquisition Due Diligence.

  • Develop the integration budget including immediate cost impacts, transition and termination costs, future state spend and IT employee plans.

  • Assess the technology risks associated with the integration and perform initial infrastructure and business management system requirements gathering and analysis.

  • Coordinate multiple disciplinary team resources to identify and recommend the complete future state integrated solution and near-term integration schedule and appropriate integration end state.

  • Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels, collaborating with different areas across the organization to create a strong customer orientation.

  • With acquisition and regional business stakeholders, create alignment on integration scope, approach, timing, roles and responsibilities and change management plans.

  • Accountable for successful identification, assignment, and delivery of timely and accurate creation of all deliverables associated with assigned integration programs.

  • Act as advocate for stakeholders through identifying and mitigating risks, and escalating, and resolving of issues related to integration projects.

  • Identify and catalog non-conforming assets, working with business leaders, and internal IT teams to define future state integration solutions.

  • Engage business and technology subject matter experts where needed.

  • Ensure proper transition of integrated deals to technology support organizations, and registerintake processes with pending integration items.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of policies and procedures to standardize area operations, to position the organization delivering projects consistently on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

Education

  • 4-year degree in a technical or business field preferred

  • Master’s degree a plus

Experience

  • Four to twelve years of experience in IT and business/industry,

  • Two to seven years of leadership responsibilities with experience in executive and customer service or delivery management

  • Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale projects, defining requirements and delivering results and meeting customer expectations

  • Strong customer focus, communication and change management skills

  • Experience managing systems implementation projects, including budgets and resources

  • Experience with insurance industry is a plus

  • Technical development, delivery and run experience is a plus, with familiarity and knowledge of data infrastructure, application conversion, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effective program management, able to efficiently manage timelines, resources, and financials for technology integration projects

  • Excellent vendor and client relationship management skills, and effective management of internal and external expectations, including regional leaders and business stakeholders at the acquired company

  • Can ensure technology solutions comply and are aligned with enterprise architectural standards

  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results

  • Able to bind business to systems architecture, making sound decisions with a customer focus and financial awareness

  • Operations management knowledge, able to understand operations and all the components needed to run a business

  • Can act as the key point of contact for the assigned integration projects to promote effective and timely communication

  • Passionate about delivering business value to business partners and end users

  • Customer centric mindset that anticipates business needs and responds positively to feedback

  • This position reports into Chicago and can be based anywhere in the U.S. (i.e., remote/virtual).

  • Travel is required, up to 50%

  • Role is intended for Manager or Senior Manager level, with potential for Director level as a promotion point.Seniority depends on scope, scale, complexity and volume of M&A Integration projects and programs the individual is capable of being assigned.
