Hub International Learning and Development Consultant in Chicago, Illinois
The Learning and Development (L&D) Consultant delivers on the Operations & IT learning strategy that our 6000+ client service associates will experience. The L&D Consultant facilitates, trains, coaches, oversees certification and other key learning and development practices related to HUB’s business processes and common systems across the enterprise. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Training Operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, develop and deliver creative learning designs – based on adult learning principles – that ensure effective and sustainable learning and performance solutions
Coach Operations Managers and Operations Staff throughout the organization
Execute business processes with the use of our core BMS systems, Applied EPIC and Vertafore BenefitPoint and model the correct standard operations model
Model data-based decision making and use of our Operations and Executive Dashboards
Measure, monitor and improve overall L&D efforts and impact
Drive significant and sustainable collaboration with Operations Management and Operations Staff throughout the company, and be a positive agent of change while engaging leaders and supporting staff
Partner with Regional Training resources to share learning, incorporate improvements, and build on the One Team behavior we embrace
Seek continued knowledge and stay abreast of changes and enhancements to the EPIC and BenefitPoint systems that may impact the day-to-day work being done
Up to 25% travel expected
Experience facilitating teams and designing and delivering operations centric training
3+ years working in the Insurance industry—experience in Insurance Brokerage a plus
Experience using Applied EPIC and/or Vertafore BenefitPoint BMS a plus
P&C and/or EB license preferred
Lean Six Sigma experience or certification a plus
Proven track record of incorporating the following key behaviors into day to day work: one team, build trust, customer driven, future focused, innovate daily, and be curious
Strategic thinker and problem solver with ability to quickly assess and summarize information and effectively identify issues or risks and potential resolutions
Experience setting and executing sustainable learning strategies that have driven business results

Excellent verbal, written communication, facilitation, coaching & presentation skills
Solid PC skills with expert proficiency in MS Office – specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Knowledge of and experience with learning development tools such as Articulate Studio, Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate, GOMO, etc.
