Position Summary

The Finance Project Analyst will be responsible for helping to support and execute major initiatives for the finance department which typically include cross-functional teams within finance and external departments. HUB International is a leading agency within the insurance brokerage industry and continues to grow organically and from mergers and acquisitions, which results in a need to develop process improvements, system upgrades and align policies and procedures all of which need to be effectively managed, communicated and executed to achieve the desired outcomes. This role will report to our Senior Finance Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Partner with other team members to prepare detailed plans for new projects, determine and maintain a RAID log (Risks, Action Items, Issues, Dependencies), deliverable timelines, meeting minutes and project updates

• Provide support by handling some of the operational aspects of a project. Possible tasks include coordinating with stakeholders and consultants, conducting internal meetings, reviewing, or preparing finances/data analytics, and streamlining the overall workflow, preparing documentation, possibly being a SME, deliver training, with the primary aim of keeping the project on schedule

• Aim to become an ambassador of the project(s) by understanding and becoming knowledgeable of the detailed workflows

• Drive engagement and momentum of projects including identification and escalation of risks to completion and serve as the main source of information about the project to external teams

Qualifications

• Experience with diverse / cross functional teams including Finance & Accounting and Operations

• Exposure and background with finance / accounting

• Demonstrated ability to develop detailed plans, scoping / requirements documents and timelines and drive to execution targets

• 5+ years of experience within a corporate environment; ideally in a project management and/or finance role with an execution focus

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $60K to $70K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
