Hub International Data Business Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

As a Data Business Analyst with HUB Enterprise Data & Analytics (DnA), your work will make it easier for HUB’s business teams to understand available data and use it appropriately, both locally and enterprise-wide, enhancing HUB’s knowledge of our business and our relationships with customers and carriers. The documents you create will become resources for HUB’s business and data teams as new reports and analytics are developed and when assessing requirements for new and ongoing projects. In this newly created role you will learn about DnA’s data, focusing initially on documentation of existing data elements – clarifying where they come from, what they mean, and how they are best used. You will develop a solid understanding of HUB’s Enterprise source systems while documenting, providing definitions, maintaining reference tables, and assisting with data mapping and requirements for DnA developers. As you become knowledgeable about the data, you will design Test Plans to validate results and reduce the possibility of unexpected impacts when data changes or models are updated. Your responsibilities may also include joining meetings with business leaders to document their requests and priorities which are of real value to the continued growth of data and analytics at HUB. The Data Business Analyst role reports to the Head of Data Governance and works closely with the Senior Manager, Data Governance and the broader Data & Analytics team. • Design and implement Test Plans and perform data testing from the user (rather than developer) perspective

  • Actively participate in DnA team planning and upgrade activities
