Hub International C&D Graphic Designer-Remote in Chicago, Illinois

Our Employee Benefits Communication and Design (C&D) team is ready to add more team members to our roster. We create communications like the emails, posters, postcards and brochures that companies send to their employees about health benefits. You may be familiar with our work if you’ve ever checked your work email and realized you only had two more days to enroll in benefits (that’s us!). Now we’re looking for a Graphic Designer to come help keep our work fresh, inclusive and fun.

Designers are the creative centers of our team, making our communications so bright and alluring that no reader can ignore them (not even the emails about – ugh – retirement funds). As a designer, you’ll make changes and edits to existing materials and get the chance to design layouts as needed. If you can balance your artistic skills with client expectations, you’ll shine with us.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A day in the life of a Designer:

  • Work with the employee benefits communication and design team on heavy production work to:

  • Follow timelines

  • Be a general Adobe InDesign wizard

  • Create special projects as needed

  • Ability to comprehend and uphold client’s visual brand and style guidelines when creating and manipulating new and existing materials

  • Produce and deliver work in a timely fashion; meet deadlines as set by the project manager

  • Adept at communicating with team members regarding project details, specifications and status

  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency

  • Work within design guidelines, standards and best practices

  • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Prioritize daily tasks based on time sensitivity

  • Manage client assets and develop, organize and maintain client folders within a shared network

  • Review content edits to ensure accuracy

  • Adapt well to a highly process-driven role, but also has great deal of creative sensitivity

  • Willingness to dedicate extra time and attention to complete tasks, when required. Our “busy season” is typically September through Thanksgiving.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor (of Art/Science) Degree in Graphic Design preferred

  • At least 2 years of graphics/production experience in a professional environment, adhering to brand style guides.

  • Fast and accurate hands-on skills in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Employee benefits knowledge is a plus, but not required

Department Marketing

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
