This position can be based in Chicago, San Diego, or remote.
The Benefit Communication Editor is responsible for drafting and editing impactful benefits and Human Resources content for a range of communication mediums, including guides, fliers, brochures, FAQs, microsites, emails, videos and more. The writer will internalize the appropriate voice and tone for the project, and provide accurate and quality work by the required deadline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
Driving the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication
Conducting peer reviews of communications for style, substance, grammar and spelling
Understanding different client brand styles
Developing and maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice
Partnering closely with Custom Communication Project Managers, as well as internal partners across all of HUB’s practices, as needed
Dedicating extra hours that are required to complete tasks when projects are prevalent and the demands are high
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma; AA and/or college degree preferred.
Four years insurance industry experience preferred, specifically in employee benefits.
Experience working with computers; Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and oral English communication skills. Ability to compose clear and concise correspondence.
