Regional Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist (Insurance)

Position Description:

The Mergers & Acquisition Specialist has the primary responsibility to drive forward the M&A process within the Hub South regional team; specifically the post-close integration process. This person will work with the Regional team (in coordination with the M&A team) to provide support and drive forward the pre-close due diligence and post-close integration transitions. The M&A Specialist will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement and streamlining M&A due diligence and integration processes at the regional level

M&A Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Work with corporate M&A team on logistics for M&A meetings and Due Diligence

  • Assist with pre-closing reports and prospect review

  • Post-closing, will be responsible for working with local teams to set up key meetings, product introductions, resource introductions, etc.

  • Introduce critical path and other internal HUB processes to Acquisitions

  • Troubleshoot and involve resources as necessary when M&A deals hit snags

  • Assist with key systems conversion processes (EPIC, Cloud, Benefitpoint, etc.)

  • Take ownership of post-close integration process once Corporate M&A “passes the baton” to the regional team. Specifically, the following:

  • Notifying carriers and clients (working with the sellers) to transition the business to HUB

  • Implementing HUB branding/marketing changes (co-branding)

  • Adding acquisitions to HUB’s insurance policies (pre-close)

  • Provide training on HUB’s various tools/resources working with the various HUB discipline leaders (Kronos, Workday, CRM, ZyWave, etc.)

  • Participate in update calls and ensure that integration progress is tracked and on plan

  • Ability to travel extensively*LI-AS

Experience and Education requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the insurance industry strongly preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Project management experience

  • Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up

  • Must be able to interact and collaborate effectively with senior management

  • Must be able to travel as needed
