Our Personal Lines Division is excited to welcome you into our client-focused culture. Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore Skytrain station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Are you our next Trainer ? Do you thrive in a busy and fast-paced environment where client service is the focus? The Personal Lines Trainer will design, create, facilitate, and deliver training for Personal Lines products, sales and service through classroom, remote virtual learning, and on-site operational formats. The Trainer will work closely with VP leadership to assess learning requirements and deliver training to HUB Personal Lines employees. The role will develop training plans and materials and oversee delivery and completion of training as required, working with HUB Subject Matter Experts to build programs from the ground up, using a full range of tools and delivery methods.

What you’ll be up to as our Trainer…

  • First thing’s first, you’ll develop and deliver Personal Lines training programs related to carrier partner products and changes, claims, and customer service

  • You’ll be completing new hire onboarding and training for Personal Lines products and systems throughout head office and all branch and operational locations

  • You’ll lead and deliver product knowledge and technical, sales, and client experience training to new and existing Personal Lines employees

  • You’ll deploy new and existing training modules, including follow-up support of training modules

  • You’ll facilitate and provide in-person and virtual support and coaching to trainees in a live training environment

  • You’ll be supporting with delivery of business results including client service, client retention, revenue targets and employee engagement

  • You’ll work towards knowledge and process consistency across all Personal Lines team members

  • You’ll implement and maintain best practices in all area of auto business; provide leadership, support, and collaborate with other business areas as needed

  • You’ll work with managers to communicate Personal Lines performance expectations and standards

  • You’ll travel to different locations across the Lower Mainland to provide training, coaching and guidance

  • You’ll work with the Supervisor to implement and identify workflow enhancements and updates

  • You’ll maintain the Personal Lines SharePoint and participate in communications/bulletins

  • You’ll work with employees and managers to communicate and coach on expectations and standards related to Personal Lines Performance

  • You’ll execute other training initiatives as identified and required

  • You’ll take on other responsibilities and accountabilities as required

What you bring to the table…

  • Let’s cut to the chase. You need to have your Level 2 General Insurance License.

  • This isn’t your first rodeo. You have at least 5 years of Personal Lines experience

  • You have over 4 years of proven success in training, having designed and facilitated training programs using diverse delivery methods.

  • You’re passionate about adult education and pair it with an entrepreneurial sales spirit.

  • You’ve coached and motivated sales-focused individuals .

  • If you have previous experience working or supervising in a contact center environment, that’s a plus!

  • You’re results driven and have outstanding client service abilities.

  • You’re able to adapt and thrive in a changing environment.

  • You have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • You have excellent time management skills and can prioritize multiple demands.

  • You have access to a personal vehicle for business use (mileage reimbursement provided).

  • You have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.

  • It is an asset if you have an industry designation (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma-BCIT).

  • You’ve received formal training in education or training (Degree or Certification)
