What We’re Looking For

Are you someone who is eager and ambitious to grow their insurance career? We are looking for a proactive and client-service focused Insurance Advisor to support our HUB Private Client team with client's auto insurance needs. You will work closely with the Private Client team, providing sales and administrative support to our high value and net worth clientele. This is your opportunity to join an industry-leading team while developing and broadening your insurance knowledge.

Requirements

  • Level 2 General Insurance License is required

  • 1+ years of experience in the Auto Industry

  • Willing to travel within Lower Mainland

  • Attendance at meetings outside regular office hours required

  • Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment and handle high volumes of transactions

  • Demonstrated organizational and strategic planning abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Advanced MS PowerPoint, Word & Excel proficiency

A Day in the Life

  • Recognize and actively pursue new business opportunities

  • Network

  • Follow up on leads

  • Maintain existing book of business

  • Provide highest standard of client service

  • Be flexible to the needs of each client

  • Be up-to-date on all current coverage available

  • Be proactive in foreseeing and meeting the needs of each client

  • Set and adhere to annual production budget, including ICBC Autoplan, and Private Auto

  • Build relationships with clients and colleagues to grow your professional network

  • Proactively and creatively offer solutions using a diverse selection of ICBC and private insurance products while achieving performance targets

  • Process a wide variety of auto insurance transactions including renewals, new plates, transfers, cancellations, debt payments and more

  • Occasional mobile delivery of renewal documents or new plate transactions at dealership required.

  • Develop new business by cross selling and making referrals to Commercial & EB Lines

  • Attend and actively participate in industry and company events

  • Conduct market research on prospects

  • Continue professional development in order to enhance skills and abilities

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
