SUMMARY:
The Assistant is responsible for providing support to all Property & Casualty staff in multiple offices across the region and in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May prepare, review, and process all transactions, correspondence, and documents as assigned, including but not limited to the following:
Acord application entry
billing
policies
certificates and evidences of insurance
endorsements
invoices
proposals for new and renewal accounts
change requests
auto ID cards
audits
annual reviews
binders
cancellations
setting up new/renewal client electronic files
May performs online rating for selected carriers, as instructed
Navigates and utilizes carrier websites to obtain documents and/or information as needed
Provides quality customer service to clients, team members, and carriers
Communicates with company personnel regarding the client’s needs and/or issues
Maintains an accurate suspense system on all items that require a response
May fields phone calls from insureds regarding questions about their coverage, changes, additions, payments, cancellations etc.
Input/maintain data on account management system and ancillary systems as required
Special projects as assigned by P&C staff
Responsibilities may include assigned work for commercial and/or personal lines teams
Handle front desk responsibilities - Scan and distribute incoming mail/outgoing mail, daily deposit, switchboard, distribute incoming faxes, etc.
Other reasonable duties as assigned by your supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain state insurance license P&C, within six months of employment
At least one year of insurance experience preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Superior customer service and problem solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Detail-oriented self-starter
Ability to work in a team environment
Significant skill in handling competing demands and projects
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegate responsibility
Department Account Management & Service
Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience
Required Travel: Negligible
Required Education: High school or equivalent
