Position Summary

This position can be located in any office in the Mountain States region (Idaho, Wyoming or Montana). This role assumes responsibility, evaluation, and coordination of Employee Benefits Client Services, including Account Management of assigned teams. Ensures that the EB objectives and results are in accord with overall organizational needs; integrates strategic plan of the organization within the assigned Client Services team. This person is responsible for increasing client retention and supporting the sales team. They are responsible for building and leading the assigned EB Client Services team and serves as a customer escalation point of contact. This person serves as a liaison to and supports the operations initiatives, ensuring the assigned Client Services team remains compliant with the broker standards and operational objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Owns and drives client retention and satisfaction and serves as a voice of the customer

  • Provides leadership to the assigned Client Services team, and counsel to the EVP – EB Practice Leader, COO, and executive leaders, in implementing customer and growth objectives that appropriately reflect business goals

  • Responsible for managing client retention and customer satisfaction goals and metrics

  • Hires, trains, develops, and leads a high-performance team focusing on new customer acquisition and retention of valued clients

  • Partners with the EVP-EB Practice Leader, COO, and other Leadership team members to identify opportunities for client support process improvements and design. Facilitates successful implementation of new programs though the organization. Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement

  • Serves as a voice of the customer in collaborating closely with the Leadership Team to understand company, processes, and product strategy. Recommends change and enhancements

  • Works closely with the Sales Team and Leaders to help properly define client expectations and support methodologies to insurance overall organizational success.

  • Ensures customer and growth-related reports and other internal intelligences is provided to the EVP – EB Practice Leader. Develops new reporting tools and dashboards as needed.

  • Works with leadership in prioritizing training objects for client management, retention and client services.

  • Anticipates industry and client trends and interprets them for HUB Mountain States in such a way as to ensure services to clients are both leading edge and forward thinking

  • EB Special Projects as needed by EB Practice Leader

Qualifications

  • Ensure assigned Client Services team execution of EB strategies align with the strategic goals of the region and company

  • Coordinate assigned service team efforts to ensure quality service is provided to our clients on a timely and consistent basis

  • Work with the Operations team to ensure consistency and best practices of broker standards

  • Ensure assigned Client Service Team performance is within region and company mandated standards, including driving compliance with the company’s stewardship client standards

  • Work with the Operations team to ensuring infrastructure, systems, and plans all support client service needs

  • Facilitate best practices communications between all lines of business service teams to ensure consistency of service standards and remediation of noted internal or external matters

  • Works with the Training Department in development and implementation of onboarding training procedures for new Client Services Team members for technical insurance and customer service training

  • Coordinates ongoing education for both technical insurance knowledge and Client Services with the Training Department

  • Works with assigned Team Mentors in the selection, development, retention, and performance of the Account Management team

  • Partners with EVP – EB Practice Leader and COO on long term staffing strategy and on other related initiatives

  • Ensures Account Managers are clear about organizational goals

  • Ensures open communication with CL Team Mentors and Account Managers to avoid employee relation issues and better communications among team and across departments

  • Assists Team Mentors in the evaluation of staff and underlying staff performance and determine / remediate any staffing needs or deficiencies

  • Promotes a culture of innovation, excellence, flexibility, collaboration, and accountability

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Operations and Sales Leaders

  • Good written and verbal communication

  • Ability to interact and communicate positively with co-workers

  • Any other duties as appropriate and assigned by EB Practice Leader or other management

  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills

  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Department: Management

Required Experience: 10+ years’ insurance experience, specifically in EB, designations preferred and

10+ years’ experience in customer service within a business-to-business environment

Required Travel: Varies. Up to 25% of schedule

Required Licensing: MUST hold current Life & Health license in resident state; includes maintaining by meeting all continuation education and other requirements

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar equivalent experience
