Brief Description/Overview:

We are in search of a skilled ERISA Compliance Senior Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in retirement plan compliance. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our operations align with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and related regulations. This position involves auditing, policy development, and providing expert advice on ERISA compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage compliance reviews, audits, and investigations to ensure adherence to ERISA and other relevant regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.

  • Provide expert advice on ERISA compliance issues to internal teams.

  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and regulations affecting retirement plans, advising on necessary policy adjustments.

  • Support the preparation and review of ERISA-required filings and disclosures.

  • Work with clients to gather data and ensure completion of various annual compliance test (including BRF, 404a5 and Average Benefits Testing) timely.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to maintain compliance integrity.

  • Facilitate ERISA compliance training for company staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in ERISA compliance, demonstrating a strong understanding of compliance audits, policy development, and regulatory reporting.

  • Solid knowledge of ERISA regulations and other applicable laws.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant compliance software.

Preferred:

  • General knowledge of ERISA rules and requirements, and experience with one or more compliance/recordkeeping systems (e.g. SunGard Relius, ASC, FIS)

  • Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or higher ASPPA credential
